Hatfield Forest Doggy Fun Day
At the end of May 2008, Redgates helped out at the Hatfield Forest Doggy Fun Day, by organising a “Have A Go” Agility event for members of the public and their dogs.
The weather was mainly dry and sunny, but it had rained heavily for the previous couple of days and the ground was extremely muddy, so we could only use Jumps at a very low height, 6 x weaves, and a rigid tunnel - it was just not safe to use anything else.
Amongst the other attractions were some novelty classes, and a dog scurry.
The National Trust owners of Hatfield Forest deemed the event to be a success
and are planning a much bigger version for this year. Activities planned include
Flyball, Heel Work To Music, and various Responsible Dog Ownership demonstrations.
Once again Redgates plan to be part of this.
So put Friday 21st August 2009 in your diary.

The Redgates Training Field
Judging and Ring Party
In order for Agility Shows to be successful, help is needed to run them.
Redgates will be providing a full Ring Party at both the Letchworth & Burnham shows.
All Redgates Club Members who are attending these shows will be expected to help.
Anyone attending Letchworth will also get priority camping / parking.
Training Days With Dave Jolly
As a way of saying thanks you to all Club Members who helped at our 2008 Show,
we have arranged for Dave Jolly to visit is for a couple of special Training Sessions on Sunday 26th September. Dave will also be visiting us on 11th October for another session with our Instructors.
Thea Barfoot
Many of you will will remember Thea Barfoot who until
recently was a Redgates Club Member. Thea also ran her own Obedience Club - “Astron Dog Training”.
Unfortunately, Thea has not been well for some time, and has now decided to have a rest from all forms of Dog Training.
We all wish Thea a full and speedy recovery.
